All of the limited edition prints are produced in one size only, on one type of paper and with a small edition run which is the only edition. This means that when you purchase a limited edition print from us you are guaranteed that this is a unique number to your print and that there is not another of that number for the North American or Far East market.
It came as a surprise to us that some publishers can have as many as 6 number 4/295. They do this by producing sets of limited edition prints using the same image. There will be a set for North America which will have a large version on white paper (295), on black paper (195 edition) and on canvas (95 edition). This will be repeated as a small version. The set is then produced for Europe and the Far East. So what looks like an edition of 295 is actually an edition of 3510. This is before they add their artist's proofs, publisher's proofs, production proofs and any other way of increasing the number in the set without showing it on the face of the print you might purchase.
So we feel that it is only right that when you buy a limited edition print from us you should know that the number of the edition is true and that there are only 5 artist's proofs. Our edition size refers to a worldwide distribution.
We also guarantee that when a limited edition print is said to be hand embellished then it is hand embellished by the artist. You may think that we are stating the obvious but sadly there are many artists who allow their printers to hand embellish their work.
